Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data ExileForge ("the Bot") collects, why, and how it's handled. We aim to collect the minimum necessary to operate the Service. We never ask for your Discord password, your Path of Exile password, or your PoE session ID.

1. Data We Collect

Discord identifiers: your Discord user ID, server (guild) ID, and channel ID, used to operate commands and deliver responses.
Item text you submit: the raw item text you paste into /poe or /trade, used only to generate the rendered tooltip card or trade link you requested.
Selections made in /regex: the category and option choices you make while building a search string, used only to construct the regex output and temporarily held in memory for up to 15 minutes if you continue editing it.

ExileForge does not currently offer account linking or paid features, so we do not collect Path of Exile account credentials, OAuth tokens, or billing information. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated before any such feature launches.

2. How We Use This Data

To render and deliver item tooltip cards and trade links;
To build the search regex you request via /regex;
To diagnose bugs and abuse (e.g. malformed item text causing parser errors).

3. What We Don't Do

We do not sell your data to third parties.
We do not request or store Discord or PoE account passwords.
We do not request or store PoE session IDs ("POESESSID") or any account credential.
We do not read message content beyond what is explicitly passed into a command you invoke.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Application data is stored in Cloud Firestore. We retain data only as long as needed to operate the Service and diagnose issues, and do not keep submitted item text longer than necessary to serve your request.

5. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third parties to operate the Service:

Discord — for bot hosting/interaction (governed by Discord's own Privacy Policy);
Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore — for application data storage;
Grinding Gear Games (GGG) — for the public trade site links generated by /trade.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your stored data at any time by contacting us at support@awaiteddevelopments.com or through our Discord server.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required to use Discord in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from users below this age.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we introduce account linking or paid features in the future. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date on this page.
